♦ NEW PLYMOUTH CLUE. The second round for the Saturday • competition for the Standish Cup was played last Saturday and resulted:—■ P. S. Johns beat J. Austin, 3 up and 1. F. G. Newenham beat W. C. Weston, 3 up and 2. ■R. T. M'Quade heat Bloxara, 5 up and 3. Corrigan beat C. Lawrey, 1. up. Next Saturday Johns plays Newenham and Jl'Quade plays Corrigan. On Thursday next a St. Andrew's Cross competition will be held.
