TARANAKI WINTER SHOW.
The opening of the eighth annual Winter Show "of the Taranaki Agricultural Society takes place to-morrow (Wednesday)', at 2.30 p.m. This year's fixture promises to be one of the most successful and attractive the Society has yet held. Although this is war time and iabor is at a premium, exhibitors have responded splendidly and we are able to report record entries in several divisions. The poultry division is particularly strong; in fact, the strongest in the history of the Society. The entries in this division number 564, and some of the finest birds in the North Island will be exhibited. Butter and cheese entries number 100,.and general competition entries number" 1395, showing a substantial increase on last year's figures. The various committees have been working bard to make everything aa interesting and attractive as possible, and it is to be hoped their efforts will be rewarded by the generous support of the public. ' All that is necessary to make a successful four-days' show ia fine Weather.
Don't forget the dates, Wednesday, Thuradav, Friday and Saturday next, June 13," 14, 15 and 10, and the place, Coronation Hall, Gill street, New Plymouth. The Citizens' Band will perform each evening.
