CHEESE MAKERS FORM A COUNCIL. By Telegraph.—Press Association. ! Pahiatua, Last Night. > Over forty cheese delegates, representing Pahiatua, Eketahuna and Woodville, met here. Mr. 'Peter Lawson (Rcxdale factory), who presided, said the dairy farmers during the past year had secured ample demonstration that it was necessary for them, if they wished to protect themselves from blundering-and iguorant politicians, and their more ignorant advisers, to meet frequently to discuss matters affecting their business, and coming to some mutual understanding as to the lines upon which they should proceed, [then proceeding along.those lines as a united body, and not as a number of individuals out of touch with one another. It was resolved to form a council of chairmen of cheese companies from [Paptitawa to Kiparora.
