Afternoon Teas.—Last Thursday, Miss K. Winfleld entertained a number of her friends at an afternoon tea, at Mrs. Stanley Shaw's residence, as a farewell prior to her marriage, which is to take place very shortly. During the afternoon musical items were rendered by Misses E. Fox, M. M. Thomson, Hurst. Armstrong and Collins. Baby Party.—Last Friday Miss Wade gave a most enjoyable baby party, and Instead of being on its worst behaviour, which mostly happens on an occasion like this, each child was in an angelic taood, so every game and picture that was placed before them was received either with a beamins smile or shrieks of laughter. Amongst the mothers present were: Mesdames Bloxam, J. Glenn, G. Fraser, Bladder, B. Chaney, G. Millar, W. Weston, Hursthouse. Afternoon.—Mrs. Crooke gave a very enjoyable afternoon last Tuesday in honor of Mrs. J. Glenn. Musical items were rendered by Misses M. Blundell, 0. Mackey, and C. Leathara. Amongst those present were Mesdames Walker, Quilliam, Weston, B. Chaney, Nicholson, and Misses 'Elundell, Willis, Bradbury, Mackay, Cutficld, Simpson, Leatham (2). Mrs. Dennis Hursthouse also gave a small afterrvon tea last Thursday in honor of Mrs. J. Glenn.
