FRENCH WAR AIMS ENDORSED! USE OF COLORED TROOPS. Received June 7, fi.s p.m. London, June 7. in the House of Commons, replying to a question, Sir George Cave (Home Secretary) stated that the Government, the House and the country were completely i" agreement with the statements 33 to tho war aims made in the Franca Chamber. He promised to convey to Mr. Bonar Law the suggestion that the House should show its entire accord therewith. Mr. Snowden asked: Are we to understand that the Allies are prepared to continue fighting, regardless of other considerations, until these aims have been attained? Cries of ''Yes!' 1 Sir George Cave replied that Mr. Snowden must take the answer given as absolute. Major Hunt asked, in view of the fact iiiit our soldiers and sailors had been told they were fighting for the very ctistenee of the Empire that the Governments of the Empire should accept the sole responsibility for the settlement and welfare of the Empire's soldiers and sailors, together with their near dependents, whether the Imperial Government was prepared to accept this responsibility.

Sir George Cave replied that he could say no more at present than that the Government was most carefully considering the subject.

Mr. C. B. Stanton (Independent Labor) asked why hundreds of thousands of colored members of the Empire, who were ready and willing to go to the front, were not used.

Mr. J. I. Macpherson {Parliamentary Secretary to the War .Office) replied that the means for utilising to the beat advantage the services of the colored peoples had been thoroughly investigated. Contingents have already been rendering useful service at several spheres of the war, and arrangements were in hand both for reinforcing the existing contingents and forming new oneß.
