A SPLENDID TWIN STAR PROGRAMME. "INDISCRETION" AND "THE HOUSE OF FEAR." "I have as much right to this pool as you fellows." In these words Penelope, the wilful heroine of "Indiscretion" (which opened at the Empire last evening), asserts her right to bathe in a pool claimed by some men bathers Lilian Walker, as the high-spirited, wayward motherless girl, is well suited to her role. 'Partly through innocence, partly through a gay, tomboy spirit, she shocks the neighbourhood. Good advice is listened to by the dainty maid, but she promptly forgets it. In the last scene she finds the real end of her disregard of convention. A tragedy is averted, but it marks the heedless young woman for life. The second feature is an excellent Gold Rooster photo-play "The House of Fear" with Jeanne Eagle in the leading role. This picture is in the form of a thrilling mystery play set around the mysterious anil fascinating Kirk, who as a mythical criminal investigator is ever more popular than Sherlock Holmes; MATINEE TO-MORROW. The matinee programme will include "The House of Fear" "The Romance of Lloyd George" "Gaumont Graphic" and two laughable comedy pictures.
