POLAND.
GRIPPED BY FAMINE. Received June 6, 5.50 p.m. Berne, June 5. The whole of Russian Poland is gripped by famine, which is especially acute at Warsaw, Lodz, and other industrial centres. The Polish State Council has appealed to. the German authorities to take urgent measures to avoid d catastrophe. There are hundreds of deaths daily lor lack of food.
