THE EMPIRE.
"THE SIN YE DO." THE T.F.ST MOTION PICTURE SHOWIS FOR MONTHS. A remarkable Triangle drama. "The Sin Ye Do," was Bhown for the first time at the Empire last night. The plot of the film, which is uniqu'c, relies not so much on its enthralling interest in its appeal to picture lovers, as on the introduction of "the unwritten law." To defend her honor a young girl kills her emplover and is tried for murder. 'She is defended by her father. Although his appeal to the court loses some of its forcp for the reason that his characcte&is tarnished, the father, by,the force of hjs eloquence, convinces the jury that his daughter should be acquifted. He also wins back the good name he had lost vears before. The picture abounds with powerful situations, which are made the most of by four of the leading Triangle film players, namely, Frank Keenan, Howard Hickman, Marjory Wilson, and Margaret Thompson. The sixth .chapter of the delightful film serial, "Gloria's Romance," is entitled "The Harvest of Sin." The latest development in the picture is the death of Gloria's unworthy lover, Dick Freneau. Miss Billie Burke is as charming as ever in the new instalment. The same programme will he repeated to-night.
