NEW ZEALANDERS HONORED.
DECORATED BY THE KING. Australian Cable Association, London, June S. Tliero was widespread interest in today's public investiture at Hyde Park, when the King personally bestowed decorations upon over three hundred recipients, including seven Victoria Crosses, and also s four post-huraous Victoria Crosses to the next of kin. Besides the royalties and overseas official representatives of the soldiers, many wounded officers and men and members of the American contingent were present. Among those who received decorations were tho following Now Zealanders:— Military Cross, Captain James Mewettj Military Medal and bar, Sergeant R. Simmers (infantry); Military Mcdalß, Sergeant-Major A. Macqueen, Private* \V. Bright, E. Hough and R. Jeffry (infantry), Royal Red Cross, Sisters Annift Buckley, Kathleen Davies and Fanny Speedy. ~ Amongst the. Australians Major Murray was awarded the Victoria Cross and | also the Distinguished Service Order and bar. ■ , '
