RUSSIA.

THE CRISIS AT HAND. GERMAN EVIL INFLUENCE. London, May 31. The Petrograd correspondent of the Morning Post says that Russia is still waiting the hour winch must soon strike marking the crisis. The ten weeks' jubilation for the conquest of political freedom have given place to forebodings. There has haen practically no war news in Russia for a month past. The Workmen's Council manifesto protests against the prevalence of drinking, and ascribes it to the machinations of the old regime. Nobody now doubts that the revolution originated entirely through German agf-nts working on both sides and iniluencing the Government and people in the interests of Germany. They are still active in the interior persuading peasants to commit outrages with the view to destroying the next harvest. German emmissaries, posing as Russian patriots, have done what may possibly bo irreparable harm to the Russian anny and navy. , THE PEASANTS' CONGRESS. SOME OF THEIR DEMANDS. Received June 1, 6.50 p.m. Petrograd, May 31. The Peasants' Congress passed a resolution urging the Government to favorably consider the monopolisation of the trade in corn, the development of agriculture by supplying implements, the improvement of transport facilities, the prohibition of the importation of luxuries, the limitation of capitalists' profits and the increase of soldiers' allowances.
