Berlin official message states that AustroJHungary has formally asserted that the Ministerial changes in Hungary will not weaken the Austro-German alliance. Emperor Karl will not tolerate a Premier who does not support the faithful fulfilment of Austria's obligations to Germany. Count Tisza, in a speech to his followers explaining his resignation, declared that his electoral proposals were the maximum consistent with safety. "We cannot." he said, "accept a project menacing Magyar political supremacy. If my successor, under the Emperor's influence, proposes more extensive reforms, we will oppose them ruthlessly.
