PRESIDENT'S AUTHORITY FLOUTED. A COUP DE MAIN FEARED. i PeKing, May 25. The Premier, Tuan Chi-jui, refused to accept the President's command to resign and has gone to Tientsin. Some fear a eoup-de-mian will be attempted by a number of the Provincial Governor.?, who assembled at Peking hoping to hrowheat Parliament, which was willing to declare war, but hesitated hitherto, knowing what the large financial benefits which the (Allies had promised in the event of China participating would enormously increase Tuan Ohi-juiV power.
