ST. ANDREW'S S.S. ANNIVERVERSARY. The anniversary services.in connection w'th St. Andrew's Sunday School'were held in St. Andrew's Church last Sunday, when despite tlie inclement weather, large congregations assembled in the morning and' evening. The afternoon service, really the most, important service on an occasion like this, was, owing to the heavy rain, only moderate], attended. The Rev. E. .Piilgrave Davy, who conducted the services, is missioncr to the Children's Special Service Missioi: After hearing the Kev. Davy it is not difficult to understand why the reverend gentleman works in his special department. There was .not a. dull moment during the services liid the children listened throughout with the greatest interest. The church was fortunate in having the missioncr for tiie anniversar; . During the afternoon the attendance prizes 'Won during the year were present"l Air ••"!. .T. Deare. devoted considerable time to training the children, That he has been rewarded was evidenced by the quality of the musical por"on of the services, the special anniversary hymns sung by the children being very pleasing. The choir and Messrs Sehapiro and Moverlcy (violinists) assisted at the services. Mr. E. Holding presided at the organ, and solos were sung by Emma Martin (Sum'.av School) and Mrs. IT. McYYhirtcr (choir). The children were this year accommodated on raised platforms, thus giving more room in the body of the church. When it is mentioned that the attendance at Sunday school averages close on a hundred every Sunday the wisdom of this innovation can be appreciated.
