PORTUGAL.
HARDSHIPS LEAD TO A RISING. Received May 23, 6.43 p.m. Madrid, May 22. Advices from Badajos are to the effect that a popular rising has occurred _ in Portugal, owing to economic difficulties. The troops intervened, twenty being killed and eighty wounded.
