THE FINEST PICTURE THIS MONTH. The United States at War provides the coloring of J military scenes in "The Last Man," the greater Vitagraph film showing at the Empire to-night and tomorrow. Beautiful Mary Anderson, the most pictured actress in all America, is a recruit to Tiio moving picture world, and in this drama has ample scope for her tremendous dramatic power. She is supported by William Duncan, who is a manly and attractive hero. The story is a strong one apart from its investment of stirring adventure, the theme being the return ol love for her husband in tho heart of a faithless wife. She finds it is all too late, and that by her own conduct she has ruined her chances of life's happiness. There are many •wild scenes in the Bhillipines, including a terrific fight on a rope foot* brldgo many hundred feet above the ground. This programme will be screened to-night and to-morrow only.
