GRAIN SHIPS SUNK. Copenhagen, May 20. The Swedish steamers Vesterland, Viking, and Aspen, grain laden from England to Sweden, have been torpedoed in the North Sea. Two of the crew of the Vesterland and eight of the crew of the Viking were drowned. FRENCH DESTROYER LOST. Paris, May 20. The destroyer Bontefeu has been mined and sunk. A few men were lost. SUBMARINE OFF CALIFORNIA. San Francisco, May 20. The Navy Department reports that a submarine has been sighted off San Diego, California.
