She was aecomr panied by her sister, who lias been spending holidays in Palmerston. * # * * News has been received here that Miss Rosina Buckman, of Wellington, sang the roletof Santuzza hrta Valeria Rusticana," and also the garden scene (which includes the "Jewel Son?,'') from Faust, in Manchester on February 3. The Musical Herald says that Mi3s Buckman sang with remarkable eloquence, and shared the honors of the evening with Sir Henry Woods, the Queen's Hall conductor. » * • ' Mrs. J. B. Gooseman (niece of the Right Hon. W. F. Massey), of Antofagasta, Chili, arrived in Auckland recently. Mrs. Gooseman was accompanied by her daughter, whom she intends leaving at an Auckland school. * » * ft Many people in Wellington will remember the graceful dancing of Miss ,Wyonne 'Haybittle, daughter of Mrs Haybittle, of Lambton Quay, and they will be interested to learn that the clever little dancer is now a member of the Williamson Comedy Company at present touring Australia with- the "Cinema Star," "The Pink lady" and other attractions. ,
