"GO-SLOW" MINERS.
J CALLED UP FOR MILITARY SERVICE By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, May 17. Sir .Tames Allen states that the appeals of the "go slow" miners called up in the ballots have been disallowed by the Military Service Boards. Some of the men have been medically examined, but he has not yiz received a report. The Cabinet has not \tt decided what will be. done regarding those medically fit, but the Government is anxious to keep the coal industry going: It has consistently refused to i>berate the men imprisoned on sedition charges. It is understood that in the case of tile "go slow" miners called up for military service it is not merely a question of allowing the law to take its course, but that the Defence Minister has power to toll them they must go to work.
