NORTH TARANAKI HUNT.
MEET AT MOTUNUI. The members of the North Taranaki Hunt had a very enjoyable afternoon's sport at Motunui yesterday. The meet t.0,0k place on the property of Mr. C. "Topless, who had made every preparation by sparring fences, etc., to ensure a good afternoon's outing. The weather was ideal, the hounds were in good fettle and ran well on a keen scent, giving some forty members more than enough to keep up with them. There were some splendid runs, two of which culminating in kills, the hare in one ease running twice round the Jhomesteurt. The jumping, on the whole, was perfect, sfhd augurs well for the season's sport. Mr. and Mrs. C. Topless hospitably entertained the bunt and a laTge number •of spectators to afternoon tea, 'being assiduous in their efforts to make all ieel at home. Before dispersing, Mr. B. H. Chancy, deputy master, in the absence of the master,' Mr. A. H. Halcombe, returned thanks in a few appropriate words to Mr. and Mrs. Topless for their kindness in placing their property at the Hunt's disposal and so lavishly enterj taining them.
