CO-OPERATIVE EGG CIRCLE.

ANNUAL MEETING. ; The annual meeting of the T&ranaki Co-operative Egg Circle was held in thi Soldiers' Club last night, Mr. W. Scott presiding. . COMMITTEE'S REPORT. The annual report stated that the total number of eggs disposed of .durjjig; the period was 30,378, which realised £2166 8s 3d. The average monthly price paid out to members was Is 6d per dozen, which was much in excess of previous averages. The number of members regularly supplying eggs was gradually decreasing, and -it would be to tho interest of the circle if all members would support the circle, no matter how small their supply might be. Indications for the coming year looked very promising, as there is a strong demand for eggs at high prices. The chairman moved the adoption of the report, and in deing so said the average price of eggs for the year, 1b Bd, might seem fairly high to the man in the street, but he considered it not excessive, as to make both ends meet was just about as much as the producers could do. He expressed the hope that the ensuing year would eee a large increase in the membership, and that the operations would result in increased to the pqultry keepers in the district : . <4tgti t lie motion was iecondtd by MrTJ.
