The Trades Council, in a staftnf ent opposing the proposal to sell the" State mine 3, urges that the' tendency elsewhere is towards an extension of State undertakings to check the rise in prices. The nationalisation of coal is advocated in Great Britain. Labor troubles experienced by private mineowners, as well as the Government sale would lead to an advance in coal prices. The State should rather seek to improve the enterprise by a collier service. . {
