ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.
TWO GIRLS HROWNJED. By Telegraph.—'Press Association. Invercargill, May 11. Word was received from the Muttonbird Island that two girls', nine years old, daughters of Matawia residents, S. Ladbrook and 'Mrs. Greig, were washed off the rocks during a gale and drowned. The bodies have not been recovered. MAN ELECTROCUTED. Rotorua, May 11. A returned soldier named James Casey, about So years of age,, was killed 1 near the Postmaster Bath at 8.30 this morning, whilo repairing an electric light wire. William Herbert Hayden, wio was working with him, received a severe shock. He managed to reach the substation and then became unconscious. He is in a- critical condition.
