THE TOKO CREAMERY. The Toko creamery has had a very good run this season. At present there are ]9 suppliers, from whom 800 gallons of milk is being secured thrice weekly. The tests have been very good, the highest being fi.7 and the lowest 4.0. The result is mainly secured by the great fare being taken by dairymen in the district in building up their herds. An inducement to this end is the establishment of the Toko Settlers' Association, which annually will donate a cup to the owner of the herd obtaining the best factory returns. The manager of the Toko branch, Mr. Sullivan, has a good opinion of the value of the Association, as the excellent quality and high teat of the mill; combine to make good butter. The testing of herds and the en'ling out of the "robber" tow is no new thing round this district, but it has not caught on to the extent it might. CENTRAL. Mirny eyes were cast on Mount Kgr.ient to-day. There is nothing unusual in that, as tho mountain is an everfascinating view to many. Yet just now Taranaki's pride seems to have lost some of its dignity (and boulders), which appear to have been swallowed up in tho crater. At all events the mountain now from Stratford difTerst slightly from recent photos., and many conjectures have been mnde a 6 to the cause. The Royal Pantomime Company staged "Blue Beard'- - and "Little Jack Horner' here this week. Both pieces went with a swing and abounded in choruses, solos, rte., that made each performance very acceptable to patrons. ''-Blue Beard" will be at the Town Ilall, Inglewood, on Monday evening. Owing to lack of a suitable hall in New Plymouth the company cannot chow there, but efforts arc being 1 made tc- fill in dates to suit a visit to Waiters,
