THE EMPIRE.
MATINEE TO-DAY. SENSATIONAL DEATH VALLEY "DODGE" TRIP. The Greater Vitagraph Company, with its Ave million capital is becoming, a tremendous force in the picture world. One of its latest productions, "The Crown Prince's Double," is being screened at The Empire matinee to-day, and is described as a remarkable offering. Maurice Costello in the double role assigned to him is as handsome and capable as ever, and is specially fine in the scenes of adventure. The plot of the play is packed with swift action, and one surprising situation succeeds another at a great rate. Norma Talmadge brails the feminine cast, and is very alluring. A very, pretty double love story is woven in the plot, and the author manages to bring both couples to happiness. Special mention should be made of the lobby scene in the hotel, which is a noticeably fine piece of photography. The programme also includes the sensational Death Valley "Dodge" motor trip. Both pictures will be screened again for' the last time at the night session.
