By Telegraph.—Preaa Awociation. Wellington, Last Night. Indications are for variable winds, with northerly and westerly predominating, increasing shortly in and southwards of Cook Strait. Unsettled conditions with scattered rainfall are probable- all along the western coast and in the northern and southern districts, but fair to cloudy weather in the east coast. The barometer is unsteady, but will be falling in the south soon.
