"THE BEGGAR OF CAWNPORE." , BTLLTE BURKE IN '•PEBTLOUS LOVE." . • A pariah of the native quarter from a !}mart army surgeon is the remarkable transformation effected by H. 13. Warner in his remarkable delineation of the principal role in "The Beggar of Cawnpore," to be shown with the third chapter of Billie Burke in Gloria's Romance at the Empire to-night. The film is a wonderful one, and a very high ex;amplo of Triangle production. The atmosphere of the burning plains of India is suggested with supreme fidelity, and special mention should bo made of the artistry displayed in the sub-titles. The love story which is woven through (he plot is sweet and convincing, and Lola. May is a handsome and charming heroine. There are some , remarkable scenes from the gigantic Indian rising, well known as the Indian mutiny. "Gloria'; Romance advances one step further and grows more interesting with every move. "Gloria" (Billie Burke) now steps on the threshold of womanhoed.
