RIFLE SHOOTING.

NEW PLYMOUTH DEFEATS INGLEWOOD. A team of eight men from the Inglewood Rifle Club visited New Plymouth yesterday, and fired a match on the Rewa Rewa rifle range against a team from the New Plymouth Defence Rilie Club. Tim day was a splendid ono for shooting, an.-l some-fine scores were put up. For New Plymouth, Riflemen W. Bruce, C. H. Moore, and W. Oliver each scored ( JO, the first named obtaining one off the possible at 500 Rifleman M. Marsh was top scorer for Inglewood, with 95. He scored "all buts" at 200 and 000 yards, but only notched 27 at 500 yards New Plymouth won on the aggregate by 21 points. The visitors were entertained to afternoon tea by the '.ocal team.
