At Moronvillers our barrage twice broke heavy counter-at-tacks against the positions captured 011 April 30. During the fighting on April 30 the British captured 520 prisoners and five guns. A Belgian communique says there is violent reciprocal artillerying north of Dixmnde. UNEXPECTED HUMANITY. AN IMMEDIATE RESPONSE. (Received May 2, 9.50 p.m. May 2. Mr Thomas writes that a section of Britishers captured a. Bun basement fortress, 30ft. deep,' under tho second; German line. It was impervious to shell fire, and contained 31 British wounded, i.who had been provided with coffee 'by the retreating enemy. Tho British responded to the unexpected; humanity 3>y their comrades to treat kindly any prisoners or wounded from this particular regiment received.
