Telegrams from Vienna state there is a. complete cessation of work, including munition workers. Sixty mass meetings adopted identical resolutions, demanding peace without annexations or indemnities. Tho speeches emphasised the food crisis and the necessity for peacer A further resolution appealed to tho Russian Socialists to conclude a peace with their Austro-Gernmn brothers. A hundred thousand in procession indulged in May-day festivities, apparently perfect accord prevailing with tho Socialists and police. The latter were instructed not to interfere. STRIKE OF MUNITION WORKERS. THROUGHOUT RHINE PROVINCE. Received May 2, 11 p.m. Amsterdam, May 2. Half the munition workers in the Rhine province are. striking.
