A German ofTcial report states: —A number of fighting eroplanes unsuccessfully bombed torpedoers on the Flemish coast, also in Zeebruggo harbor, on the 26 th. Wc brought down a British aeroplane and a French seaplane. tBEXCH SYSTEM OAPTORED. A. & 'N.Z. Cable 'Association and Renter. Received April 30, fi.3o p.m. London, April 29. Field Marshal Sir Douglas Haig reports:—Wo captured a trench system south of Oppy on a mile front. There was heavy lighting and stubborn resistance, followed by several unsuccessful counter-attacks. We took 876 prisoners.
