NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. At the New Plymouth lawns on Sat* urdav last, the flnal proressive tour* nament in aid of the Red Cross funds was played. Mrs. Cook donated the {prices. The heavy shower which fell just before 2 p.m. no doubt prevented many members from attending. Strange to gay, not one drop had fallen at the lawns, which were in good order, players thoroughly enjoying the games. The trophies for the break competitions, which were presented by Mrs Dowling and Miss Higgins (Frankton), were won by Miss M. Norman and Mre Haseler. Miss M, Nori jnan was also winner of the much-covet* ed championship button. Following are the scores, players haw ing three turns each of 20 minutes.—
