ENEMY RAIDS.
EASILY BEATEN BACK. ' London, April 27. . A French communique reports a fairly lively artillery struggle south of St. in the sector Miinteuill-a-fosKee —Saucy, nad in the direction of Ville-au-bois. The Germans at night attempted raids and partial attacks at various points on our front, which were easily beaten back by machine-guns and grenades with enemy losses, notably on the western edge of the forest of St. Gobain and in the sector from Hheims to the north-west of Auberive. Wo had several successful minor operations in the regions of Hmtebise and Cemy, in which wo gained ground and took prisoners. We carried several portions of trenches on the Mnronvilk-rs massif and occupied a point d'appui cast of Mont Sensnom. \Ve raided the German lines at Bois-le-Pretre and inflicted heavy losses.
