It is proposed to erect a memorial stone in the Featherstort military camp in remembrance of the soldiers buried there. The names of the men will be recorded on the stone, and provision will be. made for inscribing on the Bton> any additional names which may need to be recorded. RED CROSS SOCIETY. A memorial of imposing design erecteo In (Ihe Wnikaraka cemetery to the veterans of the Maori Wars, was unveiled by the Governor. It bears the records of 62 veterans. lord Liverpool remarked that the volunteers who fought with the regulars in the Maori Wars displayed the same Imperial spirit as actuated thousands of our yonng manhood of the present day.
