GRAND DOUBLE PROGRAMME TO-NIGHT. "SOMEWHERE IN FRANCE.'' ■ Richard Harding Davis, the famous war correspondent, why died at- the front, will always be remembered for his eloquent appeal to his fellow-countrymen over Germany's treatment of the Belgian population. "Somewhere in France," screening at Everybody's to-niglit, is the product of his pon, an! is a brilliant film drama based on the ingenious German spy system. Louise Glaum has a part in it which, gives her every opportunity for the exercise of her persuasive fascination, and she makes good ule of her opportunities. Howard Hickman, aa the mysterious liero, is splendid. Special notice should he taken of the new era in sub-titles which has been instituted by the Triangle producers. They are a revelation in original artistry.
- "AS IN A LOOKING GLASS" 'V 'A bewildering succession of gorgeous gowns, a ravishing collection of seta of furs, and a most beautiful woman in scene's packed with emotion, make up the bill of fare in "As in a Looking Glass," showing with "Somewhere in France" programme. Some of the gowns are most original, but a black nightdress pearl-seeded was a novelty that caught the mere male eye. Kitty Gordon, hailed as the most beautiful woman an tho screen, by plenty of enthusiasts, lias a strong part in this strong drama, end she acts with great power. The story is good and full of interest, and
the Betting is lavish in the extreme,
