COMMITTEE MEETING. . A meeting of the committee of the Taranaki Agricultural Society was held on Saturday, when there were present-: Messrs, J. S. Connett, president, W. B. Grant, H. C. Sampson, J. Allen, N. W. Hill, W. Hall, C. Colaon, A. T. Moore, F. Hoskin, C. E. Dobaon, C, W. Reube, F. Hodsoß, A, Lister, C. R. Fairbrother. THE snow GROUNDS. The chairman reported that levelling and sowing had been completed near tlis bandstand at the show grounds. Mr. L. 0. Sladden had promised to give a report as to the host means of coping with the erosion at the Waiwakaiho river. Something would have to lie dow; at once. The matter was left in the hands of the grounds committee' with power to act. GENERAL, Reports of the executive committee and made by tho schedule committees weri adopted, subject to alight amendment. Votes of thanks were accorded Mr. (J. V. Tate for a special prize of [£l la in the field produce class. It was decided to defer for 'consideration at a later show the question of altering the prize certificates. A vote of thanks was accorded to Mr. W. H. Jury, who undertook the measurement of the horses at last show, and it was decided to endeavor to secure his services again next year. A vote of thanks was also accorded Mr. P. A. Openshavr for providing the cow for the guessing competition.
