In the House of Commons:, Mr Bonar Law said that the Government was holding ,4 secret session next week and Hie Budget statement "would he made on . April 30. Mr Bonar Law, questioned regarding « the torpedoeing of hospital ships, said tj»at it was- inadvisable to give information as to whether reprisals would be "renewed in other places. Additional , c losses, of 'hospital ships would shortly be . announced. Sir W. P. ByJes asked whether, In ,; view of the Anglo-French successes, the ternlution in Russia, and the entry of the States,, the Government would reconsider its decision and convene a conference of belligerents to seek •a" settlement, as Germany had twice invited. , Mr Swift McNeill interjected: "Won't it be time to consider peace when the Germans cease blowing up hospital ships!" (Loud cheers.) Mr Bonar Law: The interjection is a better answer than mine. The Government does not intend to initiate a peace conference. "HOUSE OF COMMONS. SECRET SESSION. . '.
