By Telegraph.—Press Awociation. Wellington, Last Night. Present indications are for variable winds, with easterly and south-easterly predominating and increasing in and northwards of Cook strait. Weather fair to cloudy generally, but indications are for the development of cyclone north-west of the Dominion. Stormy weather is likely soon in the northern districts. The barometer has a falling tendency, especially in the north.
