ELTHAM.
(From Our Own Correspondent), Some members of the Catholic church ,are considerably perturbed. For some four years the Rev. Father Cahill was in charge of the Eltham-Knp'onga ehuivlics. Under his administration the school and church were moved to anothor site at a cost of some £2400. There is still a debt of £OOO or £7OO, and the now charge means that the people are asked to provide a residence for a priest at Elthani at a cost of another £IOOO. This many parishioners regard as unfair, especially in such times as these, when so many of our young men are serving at or going to the war, and th» cost of living and taxation are so high. They were quite satisfied with the old arrangement, and particularly witlt their priest, who has ever been a tower oi strength in the Catholic community,
