There are heavy supplies of Dnnish, and it is estimated that 250,000cwt. of Australian and OO.OOOcwt. of New Zealand is on the Spot or close at hand. There is little business, buyers holding off, and quotations are largely nominal. Australian choicest i«os to ITSs, many lots' showing signs of heat when made; New Zealandl, 204s to 20o's; Danish 205s to 210s.

The Board of Trade allows importers to handle all boneless beef siiipped or stored in Australia prior to the issue of the commandeering order here. A telegram from Christchurch states that the case against Charles Butler for the murder of Henrietta Louisa Foster at View Hill on April Sth has been adjourned till April 19th on tho application of the police.
