"THE VICTORY OF CONSCIENCE."
LASKY'S GREATEST TRIUMPH.
There iwas a splendid attendance at this favourite theatre last evening to view the latest Lasky masterpiece, 'The Victory of Conscience," featuring the well-matched double Lou Tellegen and Cleo Ridgley. The story takes the form of an exceptionally fine war drama with the keynote 'For the Honour of France." The plot is laid in Paris at the time of the Franco-German War, andSthe climax of a pretty story comes where Louis, who has enlisted as a soldier, meets his old love Rosette, ■who is a Red Cross nurse, and fate brings them together For the final scenes on the battlefield, where both give up their lives. It is a picture well worth seeing, and regular patrons should be certain nut to misjs the final showing to-night.

COMMENCING AT THE MATINEE. A magnificent Blue Ribbon feature entitled "The Law Decides" will be the feature presented on a now programme showing Saturday afternoon and night only. Dorothy Kelly, Hurry Morey, and last but not least little Bobby Connelly, have the leading roles in what is certainly the most powerful film treatise on the divorce question seen for years. A too trusting young wife, a reckless admirer assisted by a_ scheming mother-in-law), and an indulgent husband form the eternal triangle round which the story revolves and there is a wonderful sequence of -powerfully acted situations which form a story engrossing all through. There are suitable selected supports, including the newest film pictorial.
