At a large and representative meeting last night it was r<*olved to form a Wo»f,port Protection Association, and to send a request, to the Acting-Prima Minister, or the Minister for Mines, to visit Wegtport immediately and confer with the miners on itrikq, as the asuoelation was strongly of the opinion that the miners were ill-advised in their recent action, and the association believed that a large section of the miners wer< ready to return to work,
