A well-known and mur-h respected old identity, Mr. T. H. Watkki;. died at liis residence, Celia street, 011 Sunday. Deceased had been ailing fur home time, but was receiving treatment by Dr. Stevens. The late Mr. Watkins arrived from Folkestone, England and settled in Stratford in 1884, and leaves a widow, seven three daughters. Two are married K. McCluggage and D. Butchart). Three of the sons went to the front, Herbert Baynes being killed and Walter receiving wounds. Although not taking an active part in business affairs, Mr. Watkins was ever ready to assist in any way anything that interested him. During the past six years the County Council has paid subsidies to the Hospital Board totalling .1M173.
