The following cable message, dated Paris, April 8, addressed to* the New Zealand Pre 63 Association, lias been received: >' ,i <W( | Senator Humbert is happy to inform the New Zealanders that, in front of 73.000 people, the New Zealand Army Kuglry team beat the French army team by 40 points (five goals, four tries, and one free kick) to nil, winning the Sommc cup offered by Le Journal. The points wore scored by Murray (who was the •best man on the field), Owles, Ryan, Wilson, and Taku. French papers to-night agree that the New Zealanders aro considered the best team seen in France.
