HARBOR BOARD ELECTION.
Mr D. J. Hughes has been re-elected, 'inopposed, as the Waiinate Countv representative in the New Plymouth Harbor Board. He was nominated .by Messrs W. T. Wells, who contested the seat last election, and Tlios. McPhlllipu, chairman -of the Waimate County Council. Nominations _ for the Eltham-llawcra tvard, comprising those portions of the Kit-hum and Htiwera Counties within the Harbor district and the Kaponga Town District, have been received as follows: D. L. A. Astbury, nominated liy J. Marx ami A. C. Peace; C. E. McGuinncss, nominated by C. J. Belcher, J. L, Campbell, IS. Booker, E. J. Gilford, l'\ Fowler, E. A. Washer, A. H. Guy, W. A. O'Neill. Mr. C. A. Wilkinson, M.P., has consented to re-liomination to tlio Harbor Board for the towns of Tnglewood, Stratford, and Eltham. Messrs Newton King and E. Maxwell, the retiring members, were the only candidates nominated for the Egmonfc and Taranaki Counties, and hav# therefore beeu reelected unopposed.
