Crossbred market strong, mostly iaken over for the Government. STRATFORD SALE. . The .Farmers' Co-op. Society report:— At Stratford on Tuesday, 3rd inst., we had a very big yarding of cattle. All our pens were full and we had the greatest difficulty to compete with all the cattle that came forward ..on account of our yards at present not being as up-to-date as we intend to have them shortly. Nearly the whole yarding was cleared at the hammer. We quote as follows: 2% to S'/s-yeir steers to £l4, 20-month steers to £3 19s. fat cows £ll I'M to £l3 13s, forward cows £9 19s •tr.tll, backward and light cows £5 5s to £7 10s, springing heifers £7 td £ll 2s od, bulls £5.
