A SPLENDID HOLIDAY PROGRAMME ALICE BEADY IN "TANGLED FATES. A dramatic story of love and adventure in the wilds of Alaska is unfolded in the superb Brady cinema attraction "Tangled Fates," which constitutes the leading item of the change of programme presented at the Everybody's Theatre on Saturday. The talented American theatrical favourite Alice Brady is entrusted with the interpretation of the part of the heroine. The plot is thoroughly interesting and the production is one that makes strong claims for popularity. According to the story Ruth I.awson, who is engaged to the son of the village minister, becomes attracted by Blake, a travelling salesman. Ruth's father is chairman of the town's moral committee. When he hears that Ruth and Blake were seen rowing towards a lonelv island in the river he seizes his shot-gun and sets out for the island. RuthV sister Jane to save the former,' paddle? out to the island in her canoe and sends Ruth back while she remains to face her father's wrath. Jane is angrily upbraided and banished from her home Jane goes to the city and through Blake'.kindly efforts is given employment. She marries her employer's son, but he degenerates into a loafing drunkard. The husband goes to the Klondike, where ho makes up with a girl of the dance halls. He strikes gold, but in his prosperity ne forgets his wife. The couple, however meet again under tragic circumstances and. in the _ end Jane, now a brokenhearted widow, accepts the love of Blake, who had never lost sight of her since the fateful night at the island. Associated with "Tangled Fates" are "Jerry's Masked Ball" (cub comedy) and "The Topical Budget." There will be a complete change of programme tomorrow.
