EASTER PICNIC.
KAWAIIOA PARK. A special meeting of the sports committee was hold in the Bungalow, Kaivuron Park, on Thursday evening. The cup presented by Mr U. A. Salt, of Christchurch, was allocated to the tug-of-war event, to be won,twice in succession, or three times at intervals by any school team. The following programme of events was drawn' up:—Children's races U a.m. to 1; tng of-war heats at 1.30; Waihi School Swedish drill 2; L'londini and Son 2.30; stepping chain 2.30} decorated go-carts and tricycles 2.40; West End school display 2 45final tng-of-war 3.lft; blindfold boxin", boys, 3.20; Waihi school club swinging 3.30; stepping chain 3.50; relay race Blondini and Son 4.15; stepping chain 4.30; blindfold boxing, boys, 4.45. Charlie Chaplin fall day long.
