THE HOLIDAYS.
VARIOUS ATTRACTION^ This Easter there is again ft pleth'ori , of amusements arranged to nilt the tastes of nil holiday makers, whose numbers this Easter tide, with the prospect of no more excursion trains or reduced fares until the conclusion of the vir t will probably be more numerous than usual. Already the town has filled with visitors, and it is expected that to-day's trains will considerably add to the qupi THE WAIMATK TROTS, Racing enthusiasts will probably vend their way from all parts of Taranaki on Monday to the Hawera' racecourse, which is the convincing ground of the Walrnntc trots. The excellent programme provided has attracted splendid entries, and given fine weather there is every prospect of good sport. Auckland and Feilding races have also attracted their quota of Taranaki Bports. ICAWAROA PARK AND EAST END. i Two of New Plymouth's progressive seaside committees have again arranged ' fetes and carnivals that are sure to at», tract crowds of visitors from all parti of Taranaki, throughout which the fame of New Plymouth's beach fetea has ■ spread of late years. Kawaroa Park I committee has arranged a diversified programme that cannot but please, and < so, too, has the East End committee. The trams suit each ground well, and no doubt numbers of visitors will take advantage of the excellent tram service to visit each fete. , THE GOLF TOUBNAMENT. Golfers will find much to interest them at the Ngamotu Waiwakaiho, which are now in good order for the usual Easter tournament. .BOWLING. j Howlers are well catered for. various clubs aro represented at the P&lmerston North tournament, whilst for those who were unable to go so far afield, a pair» tournament is being held at Inglewood r and Stratford.
