Empire last evening. She is at her best in this film, and undoubtedly breaks- all- her previous records. This lilm 13 one of the Triangle Fine Arts series, and bliovvs what would happen to a beautiful young woman who goes into business life. Mayme ha 3 to earn her own living, and is annoyed by every man she works for. After having left half-a-dozen positions beeaase of this persecution she answers the advertisement of a woman of wealth who requires a sociS secretary. Before doing so she disguises herself in such a way that no one would suspect her of being beautiful. She obtains the position and finds in the household a son and a daughter—the former a Victim of bad habits, the latter about to sell herself to a poor specimen' of foreign nobility for his title. The young man returning late one night Batches th© secretary without her disguise and falls in love with her. Then there are many complications and adventures in which the secretary sacrifices her own- reputation to save the daughter of the house, but eventually succeeds in oaring both tho daughter and the son from their follies, clearing her own niftne into the bargain. She .finds a- husband in the person of the reclaimed youth. The picture has m#ny exciting incidents' in it and shows some beautiful interio'ra lof smart New York homes.
