Received April S, 1.40 a.m. Paris, April 2. Nine Senators, who inspected the liberated zone, reported to the Senate, and the latter passed a resolution denouncing the Germans' crimes to the civilised world, and holding the authors up to universal execration, Jalso solemnly pledging that full reparation shall be exacted.

ENEMY FORCES WEAKENING.

London, April 1. The Jassy correspondent states that the military situation in Roumania is not disquieting. The enemy forces have been reduced. The battalions are weak, about 127 men each now forming the German companies, whilst drafts from depots do not exceed twelve men monthly per company.

MESOPOTAMIA.

ENEMY MOVEMENT FAILS,

TROOPS IN PULL RETREAT. t London, April 1. Mesopotamia official.—The enemy's attempted converging movement from the Shatt-el-Adhaim and Deliabias on our Deltawa detachment failed. The enemy's movement from Deliabias was continued and his troops are now in full retreat. We attacked the Shatt-el-Adhaim force on Thursday; and after severe fighting occupied the whole position, and several counter-attacks failed. The enemy left 124 unwounded and many wounded prisoners in our hands, and is again retreating to the right bank of the Shatt-el-Adhaim.
